Conventional boilers

A conventional central heating boiler works in conjunction with a hot water storage cylinder, which is usually situated in an airing cupboard. This type of system can deliver hot water to several taps simultaneously, which is usually an advantage to homes with large families, or properties with more than one bathroom. You will however, need space for a hot water cylinder and cold water storage tank.

Advantages:

  • Provides hot water to multiple taps simultaneously
  • Fast hot water

Disadvantages:

  • Space is required to store hot and cold water tanks
  • When the hot water has been used up, you have to wait for the tank to re-heat again.
